Collaborative Reform Initiative (CRI)
Description: The Collaborative Reform Initiative (CRI) program encompasses three programs offering expert services to state, local, territorial, and tribal law enforcement agencies, ranging in scope and complexity. Together, the services are designed to highlight best practices of law enforcement agencies and the many ways they are protecting Americans, enhancing officer safety and wellness, building agencies’ capacity for self-improvement and effectiveness, and promoting community policing practices nationwide.

Description: Provides in-depth assessments and long-term assistance to achieve and promote efficient agency operations and officer safety and positive policing practices

Critical Response
Description: Provides targeted technical assistance to law enforcement agencies experiencing highprofile events, major inidents, or sensitive issues of varying need

Community Policing Development: Law Enforcement Products and Resources Program
Description: Funds that will develop products and resources for national distribution and offer creative ideas to uplift the image of the law enforcement profession, advance crime fighting, or support community policing efforts through community engagement, problem solving or organizational change. High priority areas of focus may include (but are not limited to) topics such as violent crime prevention, immigration issues and border security, child trafficking, street gangs, recruitment and hiring, gun violence and the enforcement of gun laws, opioids and drug market interruption, law enforcement taskforce engagement, homelessness and squatting, nuisance abatement and other crime and disorder problems. Examples of the types of products and resources that the COPS Office generally distributes include the following:

- Pilot programs, case studies, or evaluations

Preparing for Active Shooter Situations (PASS)
Description: Funds to support a provider who can provide nationwide training to at least 20,000 first responders over the course of the award through scenario-based, multidisciplinary training classes.
Criteria: Is your agency one of the following: Institution of Higher Education, Non-Profit Organization, Faith Based Organization, Community Group, Public Government Agency, Federally Recognized Tribe and their Public Agencies, or For Profit (Commercial) Organization?
Tribal Resources Grant Program – Technical Assistance Program (TRGP-TA)
Description: Funds are used to support tribal law enforcement agencies through training and technical assistance efforts around community policing topics.
Criteria: Is your agency one of the following: Institution of Higher Education, Non-Profit Organization, Faith Based Organization, Community Group, Public Government Agency, Federally Recognized Trribe and their Public Agency, or For Profit (Commercial) Organization?
