Every year millions of children and adolescents in the United States are impacted by violence, neglect and abuse in their homes, schools, and communities. Community policing requires a broad and comprehensive approach to protecting youth from violence and other dangers, preventing youth from engaging in acts of crime and disorder, and ensuring our students are safe at school and on campus.
