National Police Week 2015: Honoring the Fallen

Every May, the COPS Office actively participates in honoring the memory of the men and women of law enforcement who have given their lives while performing their duties as an officer or deputy. Each year, tens of thousands of survivors and supporters of law enforcement come to Washington, D.C., to pay tribute to those who have chosen to serve their communities every day and to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Education Opportunity for Mid-Rank Law Enforcement Officers

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) has partnered with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) to offer 10 merit-based scholarships for mid-rank law enforcement officers to attend the 2015 IACP Annual Conference and Expo in Chicago, Illinois, as part of the Law Enforcement Advancing Data and Science (LEADS) program. If selected, the officers will have access to exclusive education and networking opportunities in addition to full access to conference workshops. Read More
