Education Opportunity for Mid-Rank Law Enforcement Officers

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) has partnered with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) to offer 10 merit-based scholarships for mid-rank law enforcement officers to attend the 2015 IACP Annual Conference and Expo in Chicago, Illinois, as part of the Law Enforcement Advancing Data and Science (LEADS) program. If selected, the officers will have access to exclusive education and networking opportunities in addition to full access to conference workshops, including the following:

  • NIJ’s Saturday session: What Works and What Matters in Policing
  • Participation in the IACP Research Advisory Committee meeting
  • Exclusive roundtable with NIJ Director Nancy Rodriguez and NIJ Deputy Director Howard Spivak
  • Attendance at the IACP Excellence in Law Enforcement Research Awards banquet
  • Opportunity to network with the previous LEADS scholars

If you are selected to participate, NIJ will cover your cost of travel, conference registration, per diem expenses, and accommodations.
