Attendees at the 2013 International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference will have a chance to meet and speak with some of the authors featured in the COPS Office publication, American Policing in 2022. The IACP workshop, “Gazing into the Crystal Ball: What is the Future for Policing,” being held on October 21, will feature Jim Bueermann, author of “Preparing the Police for an Uncertain Future: Four Guiding Principles;” Alexander L. Eastman, author of “Saving Our Own Through Peer Review: A Prescription for Improved Law Enforcement Safety;” and Mike Davis, author of “Community Building as Crime Control.” The authors will be talking about their essays, the future of policing, and fielding questions in an informal discussion format facilitated by the bookls editors.1 Copies of the book, American Policing in 2022, will be distributed to all attendees and available at the COPS Office booth (#863).
