Hackensack, New Jersey is a municipality in Bergen County and an inner suburb of New York City, located 12 miles from Midtown Manhattan and 7 miles from the George Washington Bridge. The city is approximately 4.35 square miles and has a population of 45,633. The Hackensack Police Department is comprised of 137 members: 117 sworn and 20 professional staff.
