Details about the 2016 program:

  • Advances public safety by providing funds to investigate illicit activities related to the manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine (including precursor diversion, laboratories, or methamphetamine traffickers)***
  • Open only to state law enforcement agencies authorized by law or by a state agency to engage in (or to supervise) anti-methamphetamine investigative activities
  • Approximately $7 million is available
  • Each grant recipient may receive a maximum of $1.5 million
  • Each grant is two years (24 months) in duration
  • No local match or retention requirement
  • Agencies that plan to participate in anti-methamphetamine task force with multijurisdictional reach and an interdisciplinary team structure will receive additional consideration

***May not be used for clean-up, treatment programs, or prosecution of methamphetamine-related activities
