Winner's BadgeThe U.S. Department of Justice’s Elder Justice Initiative is pulling together to share promising practices and multidisciplinary partnership to combat the problem of older Americans losing billions of dollars annually to family, friends, professionals, and strangers. Law enforcement investigations are critical to ensuring victims receive justice in the form of services for themselves and accountability for the offenders. Please join us for a dynamic panel of law enforcement professionals as they discuss financial exploitation investigations. Fairfield (Connecticut) Police Chief Gary MacNamara (ret.) will host a lively discussion with three widely respected and highly experienced financial exploitation detectives and investigators. Learn tips for identifying evidence, undue influence, and how to manage issues such as capacity, to name a few. Training, tools, and resources developed by the U.S. Department of Justice to facilitate financial exploitation investigations will be reviewed. This discussion will take place on November 18, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. ET.
