The 32nd Annual Problem-Oriented Policing Conference will take place in Baltimore, Maryland, at the Sheraton Inner Harbor, on September 12-14. The POP Conference brings together police officers of all ranks with crime consultants, researchers, and analysts from around the world to share innovative approaches to reducing crime and disorder. This year, the conference will feature an opening plenary discussion on the potential and pitfalls of using artificial intelligence in policing.

The conference will also feature sessions from this year’s finalists for the Herman Goldstein Award for Excellence in Problem-Oriented Policing, as well as other presenters. Program topics include the following:

  • Reducing racial disparities through problem-oriented policing
  • Teaching problem-solving skills
  • Introduction to problem-oriented policing
  • Stratified policing as an organizational model for POP
