The COPS Office is hitting the road this summer to attend and participate in conferences aimed at advancing community-oriented policing and enhancing public safety. Join us as we collaborate with stakeholders, participate in panels and workshops, share best practices, and provide the latest community policing resources from our office!

- International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) 2024 Conference
COPS Office Director Hugh T. Clements, Jr., and COPS Office staff will participate in the IADLEST 2024 Conference taking place in Phoenix, AZ, from June 2–5, 2024.
- Major County Sheriffs of America (MCSA) Summer Conference
COPS Office Director Hugh T. Clements, Jr., and COPS Office staff will attend the MCSA Summer Conference being held in Palm Beach, FL, from June 10–13, 2024.
- Fifth Annual National Co-Responder Conference (CoRCon)
COPS Office staff will offer presentations on implementing crisis response and partnering with universities for evaluation during the CoRCon Annual National Co-Responder Conference being held in Omaha, NE, from June 9–12, 2024.
- U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) 92nd Annual Meeting
COPS Office staff will attend the USCM Annual Meeting taking place in Kansas City, MO, from June 20–23, 2024. Participants will join mayors from across the nation to discuss key priorities such as public safety.
- National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) Annual Conference - (BOOTH)
COPS Office staff will attend the NSA Annual Conference being held in Oklahoma City, OK, from June 24–27, 2024. The conference will have a trade show as well as curated seminars and educational content on the latest topics and issues in law enforcement.
- International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) Annual Conference & Exposition - (BOOTH)
COPS Office Director Hugh T. Clements, Jr., and COPS Office staff will attend the IACLEA Annual Conference & Exposition being held in New Orleans, LA, from June 24–27, 2024. During the conference, staff will present findings from the recent Critical Incident Review report on the 2022 mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, and participate on panels discussing de-escalation training and community dialogue in the aftermath of a critical incident.
- National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) 46th Annual Convention
COPS Office staff will attend the NAPO 46th Annual Convention taking place in Nashville, TN, from July 14–17, 2024. The schedule includes presentations and workshops from law enforcement leaders about the latest developments in police policies and services.
- National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) 2024 National School Safety Conference - (BOOTH)
COPS Office staff will attend the NASRO 2024 National School Safety Conference being held in Phoenix, AZ, from July 14–19, 2024. NASRO’s conference will offer more than 30 breakout training sessions providing valuable tools to enhance school safety, SRO programs, and more.
- 60th Annual FBI National Academy Associates, Inc. (FBINAA) National Training Conference
COPS Office staff will attend the 60th Annual FBINAA National Training Conference being held in Kansas City, MO, from July 20–23, 2024. Attendees will learn about the latest products, trainings, technologies, and services available to their agencies, as well as hearing from keynote speakers during educational workshop sessions and panels.
- Small & Rural Law Enforcement Executive Association (SRLEEA) Annual Conference
COPS Office staff will attend the SRLEEA Annual Conference taking place in Petersburg, VA, from July 29–31, 2024.
- National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) 48th Annual Training Conference & Exhibition - (BOOTH)
COPS Office staff will attend NOBLE’s 48th Annual Training Conference and Exhibition being held in New Orleans, LA, from August 10–13, 2024. The NOBLE Conference will bring together more than 2000 law enforcement professionals from across the nation and world for workshops, trainings, keynote speakers, and more.
